Continued Consultations on the Import Transport Insurance Certificate Reform

As part of the ongoing work related to the digitalization of the Import Cargo Transport Insurance Certificate through the GUCEG platform, a consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Mamoudou Touré, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Budget.

The meeting brought together the main stakeholders involved in the reform to continue discussions on its implementation arrangements and strengthen coordination among the various institutions involved.

A consultation to strengthen coordination

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the implementation of this strategic reform, with a focus on an inclusive approach, compliance with the regulatory framework, and the mobilization of all relevant stakeholders.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mamoudou Diané, Director General of GUCEG, emphasized that the success of this reform relies on close collaboration among stakeholders and effective coordination of actions to ensure the successful deployment of the system.

A monitoring mechanism to support the next steps

The work will continue through the establishment of a technical committee responsible for supporting the next stages of the reform and contributing to its implementation.
