On May 12 and 13, 2025, Dubai hosted the Webb Fontaine Summit, a major event dedicated to the digital transformation of African customs and port administrations. Organized by Webb Fontaine, a global leader in e-government solutions, this gathering brought together public decision-makers, digital experts, and technical partners from across the continent.
Guinea was represented by a high-level delegation led by Mrs. Youssef Nana Tèninké Diaré, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Budget, accompanied by:
Mr. Mamadou Diane, Director General of GUCEG and Webb Fontaine Guinea,
Mr. Biro Diallo, Director General of the Autonomous Port of Conakry,
Mr. Sékou Ahmed Bah, Deputy Director General of Customs.
The Guinean representatives took part in several high-level panels focusing on:
The digitalization of foreign trade procedures,
The modernization of port and customs systems,
Technological innovations serving transparency and administrative efficiency.
The summit allowed Guinea to showcase the progress achieved through the GUCEG platform, particularly the Port Community System (PCS), and to strengthen ties with other African countries around a shared vision: more efficient, inclusive, and results-oriented digital governance.
Guinea’s participation in this summit reflects the recognition of efforts undertaken in recent years to modernize public services related to foreign trade. GUCEG, in partnership with Webb Fontaine, continues to work toward simplifying procedures, securing transactions, and improving the competitiveness of the Port of Conakry.
As the 2025 edition of the Webb Fontaine Summit concluded, participants expressed their collective willingness to reinforce partnerships and multiply concrete initiatives for sustainable digital transformation across the African continent.
This summit is fully aligned with the cooperation and innovation goals promoted by GUCEG and all Guinean institutions involved in facilitating international trade.
