Strategic Consultation on the Transport Insurance Certificate

As part of preparations for the launch of the Import Cargo Transport Insurance Certificate on the GUCEG platform, a strategic consultation meeting was held on July 30, 2026, at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Budget, under the chairmanship of Mrs. Mariama Ciré Sylla, Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget.

The meeting brought together the relevant public institutions, banking sector stakeholders, insurance companies and brokers, APAG, MAMRI, the Guinean Employers’ Association, private sector representatives, as well as technical partners involved in the implementation of this reform.

A consultation to prepare for the launch of the reform

The discussions enabled the various stakeholders to present their roles within the framework, share their observations and make recommendations to ensure the smooth, effective and coordinated implementation of this new digital procedure.

On this occasion, the Minister welcomed the initiative, highlighting its importance in strengthening the governance of insurance related to imports. The Director General of GUCEG, Mr. Mamoudou Diané, presented the main progress made on the project and called on all stakeholders to continue their collaboration towards its deployment.

A reform supporting the modernization of foreign trade

Through this reform, GUCEG reaffirms its commitment to the digitalization of procedures, enhanced transparency of operations, security of foreign trade-related flows, and improved mobilization of public revenues.
