On February 26, 2026, the Guinea Single Window for Foreign Trade (GUCEG) held a working session with the Federation of Approved Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers of Guinea (FECATRAG). The meeting, led by Mr. Anselme Kamara, Project Director, is part of ongoing exchanges with stakeholders of the logistics chain for the presentation of the functionalities of the Port Community System (PCS).
This initiative aims to support industry professionals in adopting the digital tools developed by GUCEG in order to improve the management and fluidity of port operations.
At the core of the discussions were the developments of the Port Community System (PCS), a digital platform designed to strengthen the interconnection of port logistics stakeholders.
Thanks to this tool, freight forwarders can monitor their cargo and formalities in real time, as well as track the progress of procedures, from cargo unloading to their release.
These features provide professionals with an integrated view of operations, facilitating anticipation and coordination while reducing processing times, particularly at the Port of Conakry.
At the end of the meeting, FECATRAG welcomed the progress made and expressed strong interest in the increased use of these digital tools, contributing to enhanced transparency, efficiency, and performance of foreign trade operations in Guinea.
